How is dry eye treated online?

With regular preservative-free artificial tears, warm compresses and lid hygiene, screen-break habits, and - for allergy symptoms - an antihistamine eye drop. These manage most mild cases.

How is this different from pink eye?

Pink eye is usually an infection with pus-like discharge, often in one eye. Dry eye and eye allergies are non-infectious, usually in both eyes, and don't produce thick discharge. Infectious eye symptoms use a different pathway.

When do I need to see someone in person?

Any change in vision, real eye pain, sensitivity to light, a red eye while wearing contact lenses, an eye injury, or thick colored discharge needs a prompt in-person eye exam.
