How is dry eye treated online?

With preservative-free artificial tears used regularly, warm compresses, lid hygiene (gently cleaning the eyelids), screen-break habits (taking breaks from screens), and, for allergy symptoms, an antihistamine eye drop (an allergy eye drop). These manage (control) most mild cases.

How is this different from pink eye?

Pink eye is usually an infection with pus-like discharge, often in one eye. Dry eye and eye allergies are not infections, usually affect both eyes, and do not cause thick discharge. Infectious eye symptoms (signs of an eye infection) use a different visit.

When do I need to see someone in person?

Any change in vision, real eye pain, sensitivity to light, a red eye while you wear contact lenses, an eye injury, or thick colored discharge needs a prompt (without delay) in-person eye exam.
